About Pro Health Train

In 1995 The PHT vision began as I struggled as a single mom through my own college experience at the University of Southern Maine School of Nursing, while working as a CNA/nurse's aide. I had to repeat some of the advanced science courses and the Dean of the nursing department even suggested I switch to an easier program. 

I began thinking about how to innovate holistic learning and effective encouragement for future students like myself, with the much-needed flexibility and support to also accommodate a student's job and family responsibilities. Soon after graduation and re-entering the healthcare field as an RN, I was saddened and disappointed with how workplace chaos created a sour note of discord among the healthcare employees, their employers and the compromised quality of patient care.

I went back to school for a master's degree in business management toward a vision of building an innovative, supportive, healthcare training platform, for the improvement of employee job satisfaction, a higher quality of patient care and strengthening the healthcare industry as a whole. My vision began to materialize in 2020 when a blessing of opportunity to train residential healthcare staff dropped into my lap. 

Today, with the help of my superb kids pictured with me above, we have built a family flagship and provide staff training for over 55 residential healthcare agencies, putting Maine on the map as the way residential healthcare should be. The secret sauce is our holistic teaching/learning approach:
